Flare Inc. Raises JPY 200 Million to Accelerate Growth of "DDash," Its AI-Powered Next-Generation Driver Dispatch Service in Thailand

Flare Inc. (Head office: Tokyo; Representative Director & CEO: Kazuki Kamiya) is pleased to announce the completion of a third-party allotment of new shares totaling JPY 200 million from existing shareholder CARTA VENTURES, Inc., new investor STATION Ai Central Japan 1st Investment Limited Partnership, and individual investors.

”DDash” — Rapidly Growing AI × Mobility Business in the Thai Market

“DDash,” operated by DriveZ Co., Ltd., a group company of Flare, is Thailand’s only driver dispatch service leveraging a mobile app and AI. Within just one year of service launch in 2024, more than 70 Japanese-affiliated and local companies have adopted the service. The service area has expanded from Bangkok to major industrial regions including Chonburi, Rayong, and Korat. DDash has earned strong support by digitizing professional driver services for executives and expatriates — a segment where paper-based analog management had been the norm — and delivering visibility into time and attendance management, operational management, and safe driving evaluation.

DDash further leverages a mobile app and AI to detect anomalies throughout the entire sequence from the scheduled pick-up time through wake-up notification, departure, transit, and attendance confirmation, thereby preventing lateness and unannounced absences. Furthermore, even in the event of sudden sick leave or an accident, the system has built a dispatch management framework that can automatically arrange a backup driver without delay relative to the scheduled time.

The company was originally founded on “Flare Dash” — a field worker time and attendance and operations management solution deployed in more than 10 countries worldwide — and “Flare Analytics,” a driving behavior visualization solution that uses only a smartphone to visualize driver behavior. DDash was developed and is operated on this foundation.

Use of Proceeds

The funds raised will be allocated to the following areas:

  • Business development and sales reinforcement centered on Thailand
  • Pursuit of high-synergy business M&A

Through these initiatives, we will further accelerate the realization of Flare’s mission: “Creating the future for professional drivers through a platform.”
